The Prince of Wales has been appointed Patron of the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant, a major celebration honouring the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
Taking place June 3, the Thames is expected to become host to a thousand boats lined up over a seven mile stretch from Hammersmith to Greenwich, with the Queen travelling down the river on the Royal Barge.
